The high static pressure capability allows the fan to overcome losses in filters, dampers and long duct runs while maintaining reliable airflow. For underground use, materials and electrical components can be selected to meet explosion-protection requirements when handling air streams that may contain methane, coal dust or other flammable substances.
To ensure long service life, high-pressure centrifugal fans are built with robust casings, heavy-duty shafts and bearings, and precision-balanced impellers. Vibration and noise are controlled through careful design and optional silencers or insulation. Variable-speed drives and control systems can be integrated to adjust flow according to process demand or ventilation plans, improving energy efficiency.
