Booster ventilation fans are compact auxiliary units installed downstream of primary fans to overcome pressure losses in long shafts, crosscuts, or remote drifts. They deliver targeted airflow to work areas beyond the reach of main fans.

Available in axial and centrifugal configurations, booster fans generate up to 3 kPa of static pressure and flow rates up to 50,000 CFM. Modular mounting frames and portable skid options facilitate redeployment as mining progresses.

Equipped with VFDs and local sensor feedback, the fans implement demand-driven airflow, activating only when environmental parameters—gas levels, temperature, or air velocity—require additional ventilation. This optimizes energy use and maintains compliance.

Maintenance-friendly features include quick-disconnect duct flanges, external greasing points, and vibration-monitored bearings, ensuring reliable performance in dynamic underground environments.
