Underground local fans are compact, portable units installed at remote drifts or development faces to overcome pressure losses and provide fresh air directly where miners work.

These fans—axial or small centrifugal types—produce flows of 2,000 to 15,000 CFM and pressures up to 2 kPa. Portable skid frames and quick-connect ducts allow rapid repositioning as excavation advances.

Direct-drive IE3 motors and optional VFDs enable demand-based airflow, increasing speed during high equipment usage or drilling, then reducing power draw when inactive.

Sealed bearings, robust steel housings, and integrated vibration monitoring ensure reliability in dusty, humid underground environments, maintaining safe ventilation at all times.
