Installation quality also affects service life. Poorly aligned shafts, soft foundations, inadequate anchoring or twisted duct connections can introduce additional stresses and vibration. Over time, these issues can crack welds, loosen fasteners and damage bearings. A correctly installed fan on a stable foundation with smooth inlet and outlet connections will generally run more quietly and last longer.
