The FBCD series explosion-proof contra-rotating exhaust fan is designed for underground coal mines with methane hazards. Featuring copper impellers for safety, it offers high efficiency, low noise, and long service life—making it ideal for exhaust ventilation in mining tunnels.

I. Product Overview

The FBCD series explosion-proof contra-rotating exhaust axial local ventilation fan, developed by Shandong Bofeng Fan Co., Ltd., is a new-generation, high-efficiency unit based on advanced domestic contra-rotating fan technology. It is mainly used for exhaust ventilation in underground coal mine roadways and is especially suited for methane-hazardous return airways, featuring rational structure, high efficiency, and low noise.

II. Features

  • Explosion-proof & Safe: Full flameproof structure with ExdI certified motors and copper impellers to prevent static and sparks, ensuring underground safety.

  • Efficient Contra-rotating Design: Dual impellers driven by two motors, providing higher airflow and pressure, long-distance ventilation, and low energy consumption.

  • Low Noise & Long Life: Silenced inner duct for quiet operation; service life ≥5 years, up to 13,000 hours before first overhaul.

  • Optimized Structure: Welded steel shell and components for high strength; motors sealed inside the air duct and isolated from mine air for reliability.

  • Easy Maintenance: Modular design for convenient installation, inspection, and servicing.

III. Applications & Service Conditions

  • Used in methane-hazardous coal mine return airways for exhaust ventilation with negative pressure ducting.

  • Medium: Non-corrosive air; Temperature: –20°C to +40°C; Altitude <1000m; Humidity ≤95% (25°C);

  • Voltage: 380/660V or 660/1140V, 50Hz, voltage fluctuation within ±5%.

  • Fan inlet edge ≥0.3m from ground or roof, ducts must withstand peak pressure.

VI. Structure & Principle

Main components: inlet collector, main unit, motors, separation chamber, diffuser duct, etc. Dual impellers are independently driven and contra-rotating; motors are sealed and isolated from exhaust air. Copper impellers prevent static and sparks. Welded steel casing ensures durability. Inner duct is silenced for low noise. The fan delivers safe, reliable, and efficient exhaust ventilation for underground coal mines.
